Assigning tasks to technicians

A task is a singular unit of work in SuperOps.ai. Tickets or projects can be broken down into granular tasks that can be completed to keep work moving steadily.

There are two ways to assign a task:

  • Assigning them manually

  • Through Runbooks

Manually adding tasks to a ticket

  1. Open a ticket and navigate to the 'Tasks' section

  2. Here, you can either manually associate a previously setup task (from 'Task Templates' under 'Advanced Configuration' in 'Settings')

3. Or manually create a new Task by selecting 'Add Task' from the 'Actions' button on the top right.

4. Set all the parameters of the task like Technician, Technician Group, Start Date, Due Date, Estimated Time, etc, and click Save.

Tailoring task views:

You can create, customize, and save different views for your tasks and projects using filters.

To do that

  1. Navigate to Modules > Tasks

  2. Click on the + icon to create a new task view

3. In the "Create Task View" page, give a name for the view and add conditions that match your preferences.

4. Once you have configured your task view, hit Save.

5. You will now be able to see the newly created task view in your list of views, as shown below.
